Future of Security in Aviation

Supporting the Future of Security in Aviation: Evaluating Proposals for the 2011 Security Research Call by the REA (Research Executive Agency)
Given commercial aviation’s status as a target for terrorist attacks, security in aviation has become a research priority, supported by the European Union through policy and funding. The EU Research Executive Agency (REA) published the 2011 Security Research Call, in the framework of the EU Financial Perspective 7 (FP7), offering funding to the field of aviation security research. The REA selected APAC‘s General Manager Susanne Lanzerstorfer as an independent Expert Evaluator of submitted proposals. She supported the Agency in selecting the most deserving research proposals in order to maximise the impact of the EU funding available.
